Wow. I Feel Horrible.

 Heheh, hey...I've been gone for quite a while, haven't I?

Oii. I very sorry!!! Like I said in my previous post, I was very busy during June. I just got back from Indiana last Sunday. I know what you're thinking..."HA! Excuses, excuses..." But, I don't mean for it to be taken that way! Really!

Haha, but anyway. It was amazing beyond belief. For one, my family is insane in a very awesome way, haha. And, for a another thing, I got two big bags of yarn from my wonderful Aunt Kathy. :D

Ughh. And, I would GLADLY post pictures, but this stupid computer has decided to be evil today so I can't. aIf I postponed this post, I'd probably end up not posting 'til next month, haha. :P

But, yeah...I had originally planed for this post to be much longer, but I'm afraid I'll have to continue this later. D:

I've Been Busy

 Yeah...That's me. O.o

Sorry I haven't posted in, like, a month. O.o I probably won't be posting a whole lot over the summer, starting in June especially. 'Cause, I'll be: hosting my birthday party, helping a bunch of little kids in VBS, my family reunion, and going to Indiana for my other family reunion. Ahh...I love Indiana. Even the atmosphere is absolutely amazing. It always feels like it does before a rain...Nice and cool...slightly windy if I remember correctly. :D

Anyway.

A few days ago I crocheted a fingerless glove! It's made from blue multicolored yarn. A little big, but it was my first, and from a made up pattern, so, hey. I'm proud of myself, haha. :D Besides that, I'm sorry to say I have little else to tell you. I've been lost in another reality with my books I guess, haha. ;)

I can't quite remember if I ever told you about the other quilt I'm making. It's crocheted blocks I'm gonna sew together. It's green, brown, off white, and a darker shade of green. Not in much of a rush to hurry it though, seeing as it's May right now, haha.

I hafta say...I'm actually kinda sad as May progresses. One of my bestest friends, Sarah, is leaving for the Philippines on the 21st. :( I'ma miss you Sarah!!! D: Have fun...

I've also been looking through reeeaaaallly old pictures the past few days, in case you're wondering what that random picture up at the top is all about, haha. It's sooo fun! :D

 But, yeah. Just making sure you know not to expect many blog posts during the next few months. Maybe one or two every couple weeks, haha. :p

I'm sure you'll be fine without me, though. ;)

It's Been Awhile...

My apologies. I've just been so immersed in books and music...

But I suppose you might want to hear about my knitting. I haven't really been doing much, for the same reasons I haven't been blogging. I'm about halfway done with my baby blanket. I hope it'll be put to good use...I'm sure it will.

 Also. Today is a birthday of a friend of mine. Happy birthday Chirstianne!!!! Enjoy your christian metal music, haha. :D

*sigh*. I don't know what to write about. D: I'm boring and don't have lots of interesting pictures and projects going on, haha. Ohh well...Some day. (:

But today...I'm sad. :( There's amazing concerts with amazing bands nearby and I can't go. It stinks. But I'll see 'em some day. Until then, I'll just listen to those amazing people for awhile in honor of their concerts. (:

But yeah. I started another pouch using the same yarn I used for the Rainbow Brick Road Scarf. It's nice...(:

I also finally started working on that baby blanket again. :D It's progressing...slowly...But it's getting there. (: I think I'm gonna try to put a crochet edging on it if I can...We'll see how that goes. :p

I also finally put more music on my Zen (MP3 Player). Good stuff right there. :D

It's been a long week...I'm not sure why though...It's not like I've been doing a lot of stuff...Well, I read like three novels since my last blog post, but...xD I read way too much...If that's even possible. (;

It's April Now???...Daaaang.

Yes, I know, this is my second post in April, and I'm just now saying something about it. But, hey, that's me for ya. xD

But anyway. I still remember it being my friend's birthday and going bowling in February. Doesn't seem like too long ago. Crazyness. (:

It's just three months 'till my birthday!!! :D No idea what I'm doing for my birthday party, but, hey, doesn't matter right now anyway, haha. It's gonna be amazingly fun though. Seriously. Haha.

Tomorrow's Easter. That, my friends, is insane. Completely and utterly INSANE. O: I'm actually going to wear a skirt. And that's even more insane. xD

Today was busy. We went shopping, AT WAL*MART, THE DAY BEFORE EASTER, and I picked flowers for my mommy. 'Cause I'm cool. xD

But I have to go. :(

Another Pouch For Selling! (:

Only I made it different this time!
At first I was gonna make it a drawstring pouch like my other one, but I like it better this way. (:
It's also seed stitch, instead of stockinette. I like it. Hehe.

Anyway. These pouches have unfortunately distracted me from my scarf, so I'll be working on that more now. I'll probably try to sell it once it's done. (:

Phone/iPod Pouch - Pattern

Skill level: Easy - Beginner

.::Skills needed::.
.cast on.
.k1, p1 ribbing.
.stockinette stitch.
.bind off.

 I made the "pattern" up myself (if it may indeed be called one, it's so easy). It's just simple k1, p1, ribbing and stockinette stitch.

 The gauge really doesn't matter. You can pretty much use any size needle, and I'm not too sure the type of yarn counts for a lot either, if you just make a few changes.

I used size 8 needles and some acrylic yarn (worsted weight, I think? I got it from my grandma without any labels, so I'm not 100% sure what thickness/weight it is).

You do not need to use two strands of yarn. I just did so because I liked the way it looked.

Keep in mind the number of stitches you cast on will need to be increased depending on if you use one strand of yarn, the type of yarn/size of the needles you use, etc.

If you use two strands of yarn, hold them together the ENTIRE time, knit them as if they were one.

PLEASE NOTE: this pouch is knitted in one long strip and then sewn up the sides.

• Cast on 14 sts with BOTH strands of yarn held together (if desired).
• Work in k1, p1, ribbing for 4 rows.
• Work in stockinette stitch until double the desired size, plus one inch (about 11" for mine) .
• Work in k1, p1, ribbing for 4 rows.
• Bind off in k1, p1.

Sew the 'flaps' of ribbing down over the BACK (bumpy side) of the stockinette (these will be the holes for the drawstring to go through, so don't sew the sides of the ribbing closed).

Sew up the sides of the pouch (I did it in mattress stitch, but you can do it any way you choose).

Pull the strings through the holes, and viola, there you have it.

Does that make any sense? It's the first time I've actually WRITTEN DOWN a pattern, haha.
